Grog & Gruel, a restaurant/pub from Scotland, was the perfect group case study to use for a heuristic evaluation on their web page to identify usability issues, prioritize them and deliver a new design option that addresses the pain points and rectifies them.

Through a detailed heuristic evaluation of the Grog & Gruel original web page, we discovered many usability issues in the page and rated them on a prioritisation scale from 1 to 4, where 4 was allocated to the severe problems that needed to be solved right away.
The main concerns were the following:
1. Having a well structure menu and easy navigation on the web page
2. Eliminate all the information that was repeated
3. Remove any unnecessary elements on the web page and create a visual unity
4. Make all the information accessible for the users
The new design is focused on showing as much important information from the restaurant and pub as possible in the best minimalistic way so the users won't be overloaded with information. The most important features, the ability to see the menu and make reservations, are both displayed in the top menu and in the first section of the page so users won't miss them.

At the top, we have displayed the design system used for this project which includes multiple components and the different color palettes and typographies that were considered for the project.
